I am a Lecturer at the University of Duhok, Iraq, and a PhD student in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at the University of Essex, United Kingdom. I hold a BSc and an MSc in Statistics and Informatics from the University of Mosul, Iraq. I began my academic career at the University of Duhok in 2010 as an Assistant Lecturer and progressed to the position of Lecturer. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive teaching experience in statistics, probability, statistical inference, experimental design, data analysis, and programming.
My current doctoral research focuses on predictive modelling in intensive care using high-dimensional clinical data and machine learning techniques. My research interests include computational statistics, statistical learning, feature selection, optimisation methods, and predictive modelling. Alongside my PhD studies, I work as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Essex, where I contribute to teaching in mathematics, statistics, data analysis, and programming.
My future ambition is to strengthen my academic and research profile, publish high-quality scientific research, and develop innovative statistical and machine learning methods to address real-world challenges. I also aim to contribute to the development of higher education and scientific research in Iraq, establish international research collaborations, and support students and early-career researchers in statistics and data science.

I have an extensive teaching experience in statistics, mathematics, data analysis, and programming. I have worked at the University of Duhok, Iraq, since 2010, progressing from Assistant Lecturer to Lecturer. I am currently on study leave while pursuing my PhD in Computational Statistics and Machine Learning at the University of Essex, United Kingdom. Alongside my doctoral studies, I work as an Associate Lecturer and contribute to teaching and laboratory support in the Department of Mathematical Sciences and the Department of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering.

My teaching responsibilities include delivering teaching sessions, explaining theoretical concepts, supporting practical and laboratory activities, guiding students in statistical analysis and programming, and developing their analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills. My teaching philosophy emphasises student-centred learning, clear communication, the integration of theory with practical applications, critical thinking, and the use of computational tools to support independent learning.
