I am Rafid Salih Sarhan, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Duhok, Iraq. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology Engineering from the University of Mosul in 2006 and my Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from Valparaiso University, USA, in 2016. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Duhok.
With extensive experience in academic teaching, computer networks, and engineering, my current research focuses on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Computer Vision, particularly their applications in lane detection and intelligent transportation systems.
My future ambition is to become a distinguished academic researcher, contribute innovative AI-based solutions to real-world engineering challenges, publish high-quality scientific research in internationally recognized journals, and support the development of future engineers through teaching, research, and international academic collaboration.
I am a lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Duhok, Iraq, with extensive teaching experience in computer engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology.
My teaching responsibilities include delivering theoretical lectures, conducting practical laboratory sessions, developing course materials, preparing examinations, evaluating student performance, and guiding students in applying engineering concepts to real-world problems.
My teaching philosophy emphasizes student-centered learning, critical thinking, problem-solving, and the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical applications. I aim to create an interactive learning environment that encourages students to develop technical skills, creativity, and independent thinking.
